Amisfield Wine Company

Amisfield Wine Company's Estate Vineyard is situated slightly north of the 45th Parallel at the foot of the stunning Pisa mountain range, Central Otago, New Zealand.

Formerly a high country sheep station, planting commenced in 1999 with 4 varieties; Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, the first vintage was produced in 2002. The planted estate totals 77ha.

Our approach to viticulture embraces sustainable agricultural practices where vineyard management works with, rather than against nature. Yields are kept low to provide concentrated fruit flavour and complexity derived from a range of soils within the vineyard.

The vines are hand tendered and close planted on a range of alluvial and glacial schist soils imparting balance in the vines growth and productivity.
